Montana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser
Brandon Holmes was born and raised in Iowa. In 1995 Brandon moved to Bigfork, Montana where he worked at a leadership training school and in the residential and commercial construction industry. Upon completing his two-year degree at the Flathead Valley Community College Brandon moved to Missoula, Montana to finish his degree in Business Management at the University of Montana. Here, in Missoula, Brandon met and married his wife, Jane.
Appraising since 2005, Brandon completed his 3 ½ – year appraiser apprenticeship in Kalispell Montana and obtained his Montana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License in 2009. In 2009, Brandon and his family moved back to the Missoula area and began Holmes Real Estate Appraisal Co..
Through the years Brandon continued his education and in 2013 he obtained the Appraisal Institutes MAI designation.
Finally, in 2019 Brandon and Jane moved their family back home to Bigfork and the Flathead Valley. Here the Holmes family enjoys hiking in the Jewel Basin, camping in the North Fork, skiing and snowboarding at Blacktail Mountain and cross-country skiing throughout the valley. Through home schooling, Brandon and Jane provide their children with book study (utilizing the Bob Jones University curriculum), hands-on and experiential education. The Holmes’ enjoy being a part of and serving the Homeschool Theatre Club, the Swan River Buttons and Bows 4H club and their local church and community.
Through courses and seminars, Brandon strives to keep up with the current appraisal industry standards and techniques recommended by the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of farm Managers & Rural Appraisers and the Appraisal Foundation through its Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
